英語をいかに楽しむか
英語の勉強で言えば、最近、再開したのが帰りの通勤電車内でのペーパーバック読書。Frederick Forsythの 「AVENGER」は言い回しが余りにも凝っていて、楽しめなかった。４０ページで挫折。先週から読み始めたのがDan Brownの「DIGITAL FORTRESS」。ベストセラー「THE DA VINCI CODE」の著者だ。ジュンク堂でぺらぺらページを繰っていてもすんなり、入ってきた。１日１０ページ弱のペース。これはまだ続いている。
英書（独書でも仏書でもいいけど）を読んでいて面白いのは、日本語の文章とは違った発想で書かれており、読み進めるうちに、自分の頭の日本語文化と接触し、思いもよらない着想を得られることだ。英文を触媒に、しばしば新しい発想が沸く。私にとって英書（英文）を読む楽しみの１つはこれだ。このことに気づいたのはもうかなり前だが、改めて感じている。
何事も継続は力なり。外国語の学習はその最たるものだろう。一気の上達は望めないが、少しずつ、少しづつ、楽しみで学ぶ。仕事に役立たなくてもいい。楽しみながら、勉強できれば本望だ。贅沢かもしれないが、続けたい。

sayｓ that having the old ones repaired all the time is a waste of money.But even in the long run,replacing every air conditioner would be much more expensive.It was an ill-conceived ｓtrategy from the start.
